A new beta will go up today, 19/8, at 18:00 CET.

As with the previous round, this one also doesn't have any major changes, since most of our resources are bent towards developing TC2. Work is proceeding nicely with TC2 and much of the basic structure is completed. This doesn't mean the current TC is neglected though. We've been listening to player ideas and suggestions and the changes this round are directly related to players'opinions.

Many of the changes are purely cosmetic to enhance the playing experience and facilitate for the players. These changes include:
  • TC-time on the front page
  • Character counter and saving of filtered message when sending a guestbook message
  • Different medals in the form of stars for old accounts

Some changes affect actions:
  • Minor adjustments have been made to the amount of skill you gain when assaulting, to promote gang assaults.
  • The event police raid event used to be insignificant with very little impact on game play. It has been changed to instead impose a small risk of always going to jail, when performing a robbery, independent of player skill, when the cops are in town. If caught because of the police raid event, you will not lose any skills or money, just time spent in jail. In opposite, the risk of jail when killing your victims in an assault is cut in half. The cops are busy trying to stop robberies, which means they can't be bothered with criminals kill each other. This opens for a deeper strategy, should you risk being caught or should you use the time practicing your hunting skills?

But the big change of the round will of course be the possibility to put accounts into rabbit status. The reason for this change is simple, players want a fast and easy way to co-raise rabbits for their team. For this task they find setting up a trusted relation is more of a menace having a bad impact on the playing experience than a help keeping the account secure. The solution to this problem would be to set an account to rabbit status. This way you can share the account in which way you like, with whomever you like. The downside is that your account will be at a greater risk, you will have to take complete responsibility for the safety of the account. Putting an account in rabbit status is permanent and not even the crew will be able to set it back to normal.

An account in rabbit status will not:
  • Have to set up a trusted relation to be shared.
  • Be included in the statistics and can therefore not win a round.
  • Be protected by the rules, and the account is abused no investigation will be started and no offenders will be punished.

An account in rabbit status:
  • Must be conformed via email before becoming a "rabbit"
  • Have to follow the rules like any other account, except rule #3.

Accounts not in rabbit mode will still have to use trusted relations when being shared. For players logging in to accounts with rabbit status you will of course not be punished for rule #2. But beware though, if bots or macros are used on a shared rabbit account, and sufficient links are made between your account(s) and the shared rabbit, you are at risk. Beware who you trust enough to share a rabbit account with, and please bear in mind, if you want to share a rabbit using password, don't use the same password for your main account!
