How do you at least avoid getting a rare disease from a hooker?

I've tried Methadone and even cutting down on using hookers and it just seems everytime I get with one I get a disease. Even from my own hookers.

Is their any way to lower your chances, avoid, or prevent getting a disease from a hooker or am I just gonna have to only use drugs for the rest of the game?

Ointment, Condoms, Spermicidal lube, or Tic Tacs? Anything?

Yeah. Hookers had me going from gaining stats in minutes to going in and out of the hospital in minutes because of that "rare disease." Their needs to be some kind of protection against it. though. If not now then possibly in the next round(s).
