Hi Everyone!
The Killing Streak system was introduced in Round 193, with an additional adjustment regarding the 3-level rule added in Round 196. However, some players are still asking why their killing streak has been reset, which means they don’t fully understand the system. To be honest, it might be a bit complicated, especially for new or intermediate players, so I’ll do my best to simplify it as much as possible to make it clear for everyone. Additionally, a new adjustment will be introduced this round "Round 203", which requires players to obtain the Sicario Badge ('150 kills') in order to reset their victim's kill streak counter. If you win but only wound (no kill) when attacking someone who doesn't have the Sicario 150 badge, you should reset them. Without that badge with the victim, the reset won't apply to you (the attacker).
⚪ Let’s start with some basic and simple concepts to make everything that follows easier to understand:
Attacker: The player initiating the attack.
Victim: The player being attacked.
Wounded: The state where you lose but do not die, meaning you are not sent to the emergency.
Killed: The state where you are killed and sent to the emergency.
Reset: The state where your killing streak is lost.
Incrementing: The state where your killing streak increases by one.
Before we dive into the details, let's go over the main rule to help you understand better. I'll call it 'The Golden Rule.' If the attacker fails to kill the victim, their killing streak counter will always be reset. This means the attacker must kill the victim in order to increase their killing streak. If you win but only wound (no kill) when attacking someone who doesn't have the Sicario 150 badge, you should reset them. Without that badge, the reset won't apply to you (the attacker).
Explanation:
--------------
⚪ Case 1: When the Attacker Loses and Gets Wounded:
The attacker's counter is always reset.
The victim's counter is reset only if the level difference between the attacker and the victim is 3 levels or less.
If the level difference is more than 3 levels, the victim's counter remains unchanged.
Examples for Clarity on Case 1:
Level 9 attacker vs. Level 6 victim (Level difference = 3): Attacker's counter resets. Victim's counter resets (level difference is 3 or less).
Level 10 attacker vs. Level 6 victim (Level difference = 4): Attacker's counter resets. Victim's counter does not reset (level difference is more than 3).
-------------------------------------------
⚪ Case 2: When the Attacker Loses and Dies:
The attacker's counter is always reset.
The victim's counter is reset only if the level difference between the attacker and the victim is 3 levels or less.
If the level difference is more than 3 levels, the victim's counter remains unchanged.
Examples for Clarity on Case 2:
Level 6 attacker vs. Level 9 victim (Level difference = 3): Attacker's counter resets. Victim's counter resets (level difference is 3 or less).
Level 6 attacker vs. Level 10 victim (Level difference = 4): Attacker's counter resets. Victim's counter does not reset (level difference is more than 3).
-------------------------------------------
⚪ Case 3: When the Attacker Wins (Regardless of Level Difference):
If the attacker wounds the victim, both counters are reset, regardless of the level difference. (As mentioned above, except if the victim doesn't have a 150 Sicario badge, attcker will not be reset.)
If the attacker kills the victim, the attacker's kill streak increments, and the victim's counter is reset, regardless of the level difference.
-------------------------------------------
If you understand all of the above, then the new rule being added in Round 203 to complement the previously mentioned rules will be easy for you to grasp. This rule requires obtaining the [Sicario Badge '150 Kills'] in order to reset the victim's kill streak counter. Without this badge, the counter will not be reset.
⚪ Summary and conclusion:
• A multi account can have a killing streak, but it can’t own any Sicario badges.
• Multi vs multi - no reset regardles of the attack result win or lose. If a multi account wounds a regular player who has the 150 Sicario badge, the regular player’s killing streak won’t be reset, but the multi account’s killing streak will be.
• The attacker must obtain the Sicario badge ("150 kills") to be eligible to reset their victim's counter, as explained above with various examples. without obtaining that badge, reset won't be done.
• The attacker's counter always resets if they lose.
• If the attacker wins, the victim's counter always resets, and the attacker’s kill streak is unaffected by level difference.
• A level difference of more than 3 affects whether the victim's counter resets.
